Things to bring: stories and pictures, a potluck dish, plate and utensils, a blanket, a mason jar (for a candle ceremony) and something for the altar, if you wish

80 east to 49. Follow 49 to Grass Valley Take the 174/Colfax exit. Turn left, go under the overpass, follow 3 blocks to end. Turn left on E. Main Street. Follow 3 miles (E. Main becomes Rough and Ready Hwy) to Bitney Springs Road. Turn right onto Bitney Springs Rd. Drive 1.4 miles, turn right on Newtown Road, immediately after the bridge. Go .65 miles, turn left on Jones Bar Road. Big Star Ranch is 1.7 miles down on the left, immediately after Owl Creek Road. Once on driveway, stay to the left, continue down to red barn
